I suppose that somewhere it’s written you need to have a page explaining why the site exists. I suppose this because the template for the site left this blank page, and I doubt it was for fruitcake recipes. So here’s what we believe in:

Sports are to be enjoyed, whether you play or watch. It’s not the end of the world if you lose. But you play the game to win.

There’s humor and irony in just about everything. We enjoy pointing it out when we see it.

Locally, the internet age has given us alot of sites telling us what happened. We’d rather know why. And if you can do it irreverently, so much the better.

We follow sports for moments. It’s what brings us back. You can play golf for five hours, but if you hit just one memorable shot, you’ll play again. We like to spotlight those moments.

We obviously believe in local sports, which we define as everything in Loudoun County. That means high schools, Virginia Tech, and the Redskins, but only as it relates to life here in the land of the traffic jam.

Writers write. For the last 20 years I forgot that. So now I’ve decided to start writing every day again. Deal with it.

Part of the reason the site was started was so I could master all the technology associated with it. So if you see a video embedded somewhere for no particular reason, the answer is “because I can.”

This is not a commercial venture. But if you need to have an ad for your business forced on to the page, I’m not stupid. Click on “contact.” There is no need to share this information with my wife.

I believe in “old school.” Tradition and respect are important. But there’s nothing you can’t poke fun at if it warrants such.
